Für Mitternacht hatten wir als Treffpunkt eine Shell-Tankstelle in der Innenstadt abgemacht. Der Chef Daniel Mazzucco kam mich persönlich mit dem Iveco abholen und hat mir Diego vorgestellt. Um 1 Uhr waren dann alle abfahrbereit. Kaum auf der Autobahn fing es an zu gewittern. Weil alle Chauffeure schon den ganzen Tag am arbeiten waren, kam es zu fliegenden Pilotenwechseln. Auch Diego gab forfait und Daniel Mazzucco, der eigentlich so viel wie möglich schlafen wollte, musste hinters Steuer. 

Jetzt sind wir nur noch wenige Kilometer von Buenos Aires und dem ersten Biwak entfernt.

For midnight we had agreed meeting point a Shell gas station in the city centre. The boss Daniel Mazzucco came personally with the Iveco to pick me up and introduced me to Diego. By one o'clock were all ready to leave. Hardly on the highway it starts to thunderstorm. Because all drivers had been working all day on, it came to flying pilot changes. Also Diego must have a break and Daniel Mazzucco, who actually wanted to sleep as much as possible, had to drive.

Now we are only a few kilometres away from Buenos Aires and the first bivouac.
