Der heutige Tag steht ganz im Zeichen der Abreise nach San Carlos de Bolivar, wo ich auf das Team treffen werde. Zuvor muss ich jedoch noch einiges vorbereiten. Bruno kommt am 18.06.2016 in Argentinien an und seine erste Station wird das Haus in La Cumbre sein. Es ist Winter in Argentinien und wir haben keine Zentralheizung. Also klebe ich ihm überall Zettel hin, wie man den Gasofen bedient, was man mit dem Stromöfelchen machen muss, wie man den Durchlauferhitzer in Gang setzt. Dann lege ich ihm noch das Roadbook hin für die Fahrt nach San Juan. Das Mittagessen wird ihm am Samstag vorbeigebracht, fertig gekocht, es sollte also für alles gesorgt sein.

Ich mache mein letztes Gepäck fertig. Ein Grossteil meiner Sachen sind bereits in Bolivar, aber für den Ersatzhelm und die Ersatzmotocrossstiefel hatte ich keinen Platz mehr. Mit dem Taxi mache ich mich auf den Weg von La Cumbre nach Cordoba Stadt zum Busbahnhof. Das sind nur 1 ½ Stunden Fahrt. Der Überlandbus in Cordoba fährt um 17.00 h ab. Dann werde ich eine hoffentlich gemütliche 11-stündige Fahrt verbringen können und ein wenig schlafen. Es wird hier in Argentinien im Winter sehr schnell dunkel. Um 17.30 h ist das Tageslicht weg und kommt erst gegen 07.30 h morgens wieder. Also knalle ich mich im Bus, den ich mit Schlafsitz gebucht habe in eine Ecke und schliesse die Augen.

Um 03.45 h bin ich in Bolivar. Vom Busbahnhof nehme ich mir ein Taxi direkt zum Haus von Gaston. Er hat mir die Haustüre offen gelassen und ich gehe leise auf die Galerie über dem Wohnzimmer, wo mein „Zimmer“ ist. Nun heisst es noch eine Mütze voll Schlaf nehmen, denn der morgige Tag wird spannend.

Today all signs are set on departure to San Carlos de Bolivar, where I will meet the team. But before I can leave I have to prepare several things. Bruno will arrive the 18^th of June in Argentina and his first stay will be in La Cumbre at home. It’s winter time in Argentina and we do not have a central heating. So I prepare several notes with instructions: How to use the gas oven, how to use the electrical oven, how to start the hot water boiler and so on. I have also prepared a road book for him, so that his trip to San Juan will be easier for him. The lunch is ordered for him, it will be brought to him cooked and ready to eat.

I prepare my last baggage. Almost all my things are already in Bolivar, but my spare helmet and my spare motocross boots did not have had any space in my luggage. By taxi I go from La Cumbre to the bus terminal in Cordoba city. 1 ½ hours trip. At 17.00 o’clock the bus leaves to Bolivar. So I hope to spend a lovely 11 hours trip and that I can sleep a little bit. In winter time in Argentina it starts to be dark at about 17.30 o’clock and the light comes back at about 07.30 o’clock. So I make me comfortable in my seat in the bus and close my eyes to sleep.

At 03.45 o’clock I’m at Bolivar. The taxi brings me to the house of Gaston. He has let the front door open, so that I can go directly to my “room”. The next step is to try to sleep again, because tomorrow will be a very exciting day.
