Rangliste 3. Etappe  | Fotos

Today Angelica drives not very far. We were expected at the bivouac 06:15 by the team. The two quads were charged by the mechanics and the pilots took a small breakfast. Then we drove off according schedule to the start point starting at over 2000 m above sea level.

Arriving at the start it was very cold -10 degrees! So everything put on what goes and remain seated in the car as long as possible. The Sun was rising and with every minute, it was a little bit warmer...
Then Angelica went to the start and the team went on to a point where the stage was neutralized, as the pilots have to drive 120 km on normal roads until it goes again into the special stage. We asked the Organization and they reported us, that Angelica was on the way back to the start. Of course we went back to the start and after about 10 minutes of endless waiting, Angelica arrived.
The Quad was driven by a gentleman of the Organization and Angelica was sitting in the car of the organization. She had suffered a strong bruise on an extremely bad section of the stage through a pothole and could not longer drive. It has potholes every few metres, but this was too heavy. It was no longer possible for her to stand on the Quad, but exactly this was essential to get through this stage! The doctor made a check and we drove back to the bivouac.

Unloading, reloading and loadup again. Angelica and I have fueled our Ranger and bought a lot of ice. Now Angelica lies in the hotel bed and cools the bruise, also Angelica had to take medication. It seems now that Angelica starts tomorrow, depending on the condition or she suspends for the fourth stage.
In the Desafio Ruta 40, it is possible to suspend a stage and then intervene in the race. Because the goal is the goal. After the race doctor, she can start tomorrow. But whether this is possible, we will check at the briefing. Of course, the suspension would give extra penalty minutes. Ranking list stage 3 | pictures
