Start vom Biwak
Spezialetappe: 492,57 km
verbindungsetappe: 1,82 km
Ziel: Fort Chacal

Video Task 4/Stage 4

Videobericht vom Biwak 4.Tag

The competitors will once again border the Oued Draa on several miles by taking a slightly challenging part sand, part rock track. After M’seied, a large track will push the rally towards the south of Morocco. The landscapes will radically change. The co-pilots will have difficulty navigating through the smooth lands and fast tracks. The special sector will include a few downslopes. The offtrack parts from 2018 which were problematic for the navigation of many competitors, will be a distant memory as this portion has been transformed in a perfectly identifiable track. The 4th stage will end in a long fast and easy drive. With nearly 500km on the odometer, all teams will be happy to arrive at Fort Chacal.

I did not leave until 9:00 am because I was waiting for the light of day. Today I took the stage over the connection route on asphalt under the wheels. My quad suffered more than I thought yesterday. "Petit frère," as I call my quad, was maltreated and shaken with rough stones after typical Moroccan jogging tracks. Last night, the quad was checked and all conceivable screws tightened again, even the license plate holder was screwed back on and better secured.
But with the roadbook holder screws had loosened inside, so today I had to turn the roadbook by hand back and forth, this at 90 km / h. Also, the operation of the electronic compass (CAP) must have taken some damage. Sometimes I had to knock something on it, so I could switch between the time and the grade. The first 300 km went through bleak but hilly landscape and suddenly I was at the sea. Today I drove 686 kilometres and many along the Atlantic coast.
Important, I have reached my goal of the day and at the same time I drove to the bivouac with the top cracks from our team. This leaves more time to recover and the quad also needs healing hands...
