19th July 2017 I went for the first time with my raptor to a gravel pit at Niederbipp. All about gravel pit - I have had no idea until yesterday. Even if I have made several thousands of kilometres offroad, I was looking forward to learn about a motocross pist in a gravel pit. And on of the important points was to feel my new and own machine.

Niederbipp 3Herbert Brunner, who has finished the Africa Eco Race at Dakar this year has helped me to open the doors that I can train in Niederbipp. A lot of motocross pilots are training there. And yesterday I could amire how Domenique Aegerter was speeding up.

I was not so fast, of course. Herbert was very careful and has shown me the different obstacles. He wanted me to do it properly and with the right technic. And I should memorize the course. The course is relatively short and on a small field. One can never recover during driving because one curve is following the other and one steepface is followed by a hard down hill. So it's not surprising that you get tired. And yesterday we have had 32 °C, like in desert.

My Raptor behaved very well. Even if I have lost some screws on the way. That's not so bad. We will back up the new screws with locktite. One of the best things is, that I can no start to adapt the machine accordingly to my size. First of all we will correct the position of the handle bars and also I have to adapt the clutch lever. My hands are to short so I need another one to work with the lever in an easier way.
